Glazing Project II
Finally done! Each layer took around 8 hours to fully dry, I mixed them with liquin light gel. I tried not to make the same mistakes I did on my practice one and planned the layers more carefully. It got pretty tedious at times, when I do this process again I'll play around with some other mediums. And its very rewarding to not turn out to be a complete disaster.

Glazing project
We're doing glazing in painting class, my practice painting turned out ugly. I made the grisaille too dark in the first place and was frustrated by using acrylic.
This is the second attempt, much lighter this time and in oil.

Landscapes
I tried to do as much as I could wet-in-wet, especially for the subjective.
Both are oil, 18x24 canvas.

Abstract
This is an abstract assignment based on magnolia pods. I really enjoyed doing the initial thumbnails and painting it, looking closely at the actual subject reveals so many shapes and details you wouldn't expect.

Photo study
I started playing around with Artrage. Its really tough to get used to, mixes weirdly at times and control is always an issue.

Illustration
I've been working on this illustration based on the book A Storm of Swords, with some influences from the TV show Game of Thrones. Done mostly in SAI with some photoshop. I haven't finished my own painting in a while, feels great. This was a challenge for me as well since I haven't really applied what I learned to do a full color painting from imagination.

Dr. Sketchy's
I went to Dr. Sketchy's in San Francisco for the first time today with a couple of friends. It was fun drawing there, interesting place.
